Your help as a volunteer will enable Pine Woods to meet its goals earlier. There are many committee positions open. Please contact us if you are interested in working on a committee.

Because Pine Woods Retreat is a non-profit, Section 501(c)(3) organization (EIN 58-2631892), all donations are tax-exempt as allowable by law. Contributions from visionary donors have enabled us to hire an award winning architectural firm to design the space and facilities that will serve Pine Woods into the future. The cost of land, construction and staffing have been carefully calculated so that the initial fundraising efforts will adequately meet all initial needs. Start-up costs include all hiring and training of personnel. Wages have been established above the local market rates to enable Pine Woods to recruit and retain excellent staff.

Every gift, no matter its size, helps Pine Woods Retreat reach its goals. There are numerous ways you can help Pine Woods financially.

    Please note on your check if your gift is "In Honor of" or "In Memory of" anyone you designate. All contributions are recognized in the Pine Woods Retreat Annual Report.
  • Please contact us for additional instructions if you wish to make a gift of securities.
  • Our Planned Giving Program enables you to help Pine Woods Retreat as part of your tax planning. If you are reviewing your estate or tax matters with your attorney or accountant, you may have them contact Pine Woods to discuss how helping Pine Woods can reduce your taxes.
  • You may donate on-line using your credit card at Network for Good. This organization charges us a very small processing fee and will ask you to consider a gift to them. Our fee covers their costs. You are under no obligation to make an additional gift and it will not increase your gift to us.
  • Pine Woods is registered with Buy for Charity and the iGive Shopping Network. Both of these programs offer special sales and discount pricing from over 500 popular internet shopping sites. When you register with these sites, you can select Pine Woods Retreat as your charity of choice. A percentage of all of your purchases will be donated to Pine Woods. Yes, it's a gimmick, but they seem to work without generating spam and every contribution helps. Each site has privacy policies you will want to review.
  • Pine Woods is registered with Wireless Fundraiser.com. This organization recycles old cell phones. You can request a postage prepaid mailing envelope from them and send in your old cell phones knowing that both the environment and Pine Woods will benefit from proper disposal of useless cell phones.
  • There are naming opportunities available for Buildings, Rooms and other facilities at Pine Woods Retreat. If you are interested in a gift of over $5,000 to the Capital Campaign, we will find something appropriate to name in your honor.
  • With the GivingExpressSM program, giving has never been so easy or rewarding

    Give to your favorite charity by donating with your American Express Card. Donations can be made in dollars or Membership Rewards® points. Your dollar donation is tax deductible and you will receive an e-mail receipt that meets IRS requirements as a record of your contribution. The site also enables you to set up recurring donations to your favorite charity. Plus, you can earn one Membership Rewards point for virtually every dollar you donate on an eligible, enrolled Card.

This transaction fee is similar to or less than the processing fee the charity would pay if you were to charge your donation with your American Express Card through any other means (i.e., over the phone to the charity, through the charity's website, etc.). You will not be charged any additional fees for using the GivingExpressSM program, and the full amount of your donation is 100% tax-deductible.
